This summer, I had the pleasure of photographing several unique and timeless greenhouse photoshoots at Lemon Drop Studios in McKinney Texas. This stunning greenhouse provided the perfect backdrop, with its lush pink flowers, and soft natural light, this spot created the most magical setting for a variety of sessions.

What I love most about the greenhouse is that it is perfect for photos year-round. Each season, Lemon Drop Studio changes the display and florals to complement the season and the warmth and tranquility of the space. For fall they add pumpkins and muted florals. During the Christmas season you’ll see lights and Christmas trees. The changing decor makes it the perfect backdrop any time of the year!

During our sessions, we captured a wonderful mix of Mommy and Me moments, milestone portraits, as well as some heartwarming family photos. The greenhouse provided an enchanting atmosphere that made every moment feel extra special. The natural light filtering through the glass gave the most gorgeous light, while the flowers added a beautiful pop of color to each shot.

Mommy + Me Photos

As a mom myself, I find mommy and me sessions so special. The greenhouse was the perfect backdrop for capturing the tender moments between moms and their children. Between all the giggles and sweet snuggles, these mommy and me photos captured the intimate and joyful moments perfectly.

Milestone Sessions

I also had the joy of capturing a couple milestone sessions here in this fairytale-like setting. The bright, airy environment helped to capture playful and candid moments of growing little ones along with their families.

The greenhouse is also an ideal spot for family sessions as it offers a relaxed, natural spot with a mix of greenery and colorful flowers. For all the sessions we utilized both the open space outside of the greenhouse, as well as the coziness on the inside. Both spaces provide room for fun, candid shots as well as classic, timeless portraits.

One thing is certain, everyone who came out for these timeless greenhouse photoshoots, including myself, fell in love with the vibrant pink bougainvillea flowers that framed the dusty blue door of the otherwise white greenhouse.
