Arbor Hills Maternity Announcement in Plano TX

There is something incredibly special about getting to photograph a family throughout life’s milestones and seasons. This session was one of those moments that reminded me why I love what I do so much. I first met this family when they welcomed their first baby, and I had the honor of capturing their newborn photos. Being invited back to document another season of growth was incredibly meaningful. Their Arbor Hills maternity announcement was incredibly special for so many reasons. Capturing the joy of this family as they announced the arrival of baby number two, and knowing that they trusted me with capturing these life milestones means so much to me. Seeing returning families is one of the greatest joys of being a Plano maternity and family photographer.

Arbor Hills Maternity Announcement

This fall maternity announcement session took place at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, one of my favorite locations for outdoor sessions in the Plano area. The warm, golden light and natural scenery created the perfect backdrop. Between the open fields, soft greenery, and peaceful trails, it’s a location that photographs beautifully year-round, but is especially scenic in the fall.

Big sister was a little shy when we first started, which is so common at this age. I always remind parents that there’s no pressure for kids to perform right away. We kept things relaxed and let her ease into the session at her own pace. Before long, her personality started to shine, and by the end, you would never have guessed she had been hesitant at all.

One of the things I love most about maternity announcement sessions, especially when there’s an older sibling involved, is capturing that growing connection. The anticipation, the quiet excitement, and the little in-between moments all tell such a meaningful story. The way she placed her tiny hands on mom’s belly and held up the ultrasound photo was so sweet. Maternity announcements aren’t just about announcing a new baby, it’s about documenting a family as they step into a new season together.
