I am thrilled to be able to share my recent Fresh 48 hospital session with sweet little Jackson! I haven’t been able to offer in-hospital Fresh 48 sessions in a year and half. In case you’ve never heard of Fresh 48 sessions before , they are done within the first 48 hours after a baby is born, usually in the hospital. And they are my absolute FAVORITE!! You don’t realize how much a baby changes in just a week or two after they are born!
Fresh 48 Hospital Session
This session held so much meaning for me for a lot of reasons! Not only was this my first time back in the hospital in my element capturing the perfection of a newborn, but it was the second fresh 48 session I’ve done for this amazing family. I love that I was able to capture both their oldest son, Jaime as well as their newest addition, Jackson. Jaime’s Fresh 48 Session was almost exactly 2 years ago! As you will see, Jamie was equally as precious as his younger brother!
Jackson slept through most of our session together, as most newborns do. We took a few photos of him swaddled wearing the hallmark of every hospital, the pink and blue striped hat. I brought along a few outfits that I recently added to the newborn selection of my client closet. For newborns, I try to stick to outfits that I know will be easy to put on and take off. I also only select colors and fabrics that I know will complement and be comfortable against the delicate skin of a newborn.
This super cute deep blue onesie complemented Jackson’s skin tone wonderfully! I love it because it has these cute little buttons that add a bit of detail along with the ties at the end to keep their tiny toes warm. It also allows for easy and accessible diaper changes! Jackson was the best little model. He is just a dream!
Be on the lookout for Jackson’s newborn photos in a few weeks! They are just as adorable and you will be able to see how much he’s changed in just a week’s time from the date of his Fresh 48 hospital session.
