Newborn sessions are always slow, flexible, and baby-led, which means I follow your baby’s cues allowing time for feeding, soothing, and breaks whenever needed. There is never any pressure to “push through” a moment if your baby needs something. A calm and relaxed environment helps babies stay comfortable and supported throughout the session. The last thing I want to do is to stress your baby out. Forcing positions, ignoring cues, and constant outfit changes are all things I avoid as it causes unnecessary stress to your baby.

Instead, I keep the session simple, gentle, and responsive to your baby’s needs, and that’s when the most natural, beautiful images happen.

Safe, Supported Posing

Every pose is chosen with your baby’s safety in mind and is adjusted based on your baby’s comfort and ability. Babies are never forced into positions, and hands are always supported whether by a parent nearby or through safe positioning techniques. If a pose doesn’t feel right for your baby, I simply move on. I’m always watching closely for signs that they need to adjust or take a break. No image is ever more important than your baby’s comfort and safety.

Including Siblings Safely

Including older siblings in newborn photos is always encouraged, but it’s done with safety as the top priority. I absolutely love capturing those sweet sibling moments. However, all sibling poses are chosen carefully and based on age and comfort level. Each pose is fully supported, and never rushed. Parents are always close by to assist. I gently guide interactions to keep things natural while ensuring everyone stays safe and comfortable. There’s no rushing and no pressure. Rather we focus on simple, meaningful moments between your children.
