Golden Hour Maternity Session

There’s something so magical about maternity sessions. This season of waiting is fleeting, but it’s filled with moments worth remembering. I love capturing the love, excitement, and anticipation before a new little one arrives. Photographing Jamie and her husband during this golden hour maternity session was such a joy. I had the sweetest time photographing and getting to know them.

We chose a beautiful outdoor location filled with open fields, golden sunlight, and lush greenery. It was the perfect backdrop for that dreamy, romantic look. The soft evening light wrapped around them, creating that signature golden-hour glow that makes for stunning light and airy portraits.

Jamie looked absolutely stunning in both of her dresses, which created two distinct but beautiful looks. She began in a soft, flowy cream gown that gave such a timeless, elegant feel. Later, she changed into a bold, black two-piece outfit set that added gorgeous contrast against the sunlit field. I love that her second outfit showed off her beautiful baby bump. It was a perfect choice for capturing her natural glow and the gorgeous, feminine beauty of pregnancy.

What I loved most about this session was how natural these two were together. The way her husband looked at her with quiet admiration, love, and excitement said everything. Between the little laughs they shared, sweet embraces, and quiet moments of him resting his hand gently on her belly, it all told the story of this exciting season of their lives. These are the moments that make maternity photography so special.

I always love including a mix of couple portraits and solo images during maternity sessions, which provides a variety of images to remember this special time. Golden hour gave us the most beautiful, soft light, highlighting Jamie’s glow and making every photo feel warm and full of love.
