In-home newborn sessions are one of my favorites. During them, families are more comfortable in their own space, I get to document the cutest nurseries and it’s easy for families to include their furry friends too! Plus, getting a newborn out of the house can be quite the task. I can come to you so you don’t have to pack everything up!
Samuel’s newborn session in the Dunn’s home was a great way to document to new addition to this family.. It’s also safe to say that big sister, Eloise, is obsessed with her new baby brother! She couldn’t get enough of him and wanted to be in all of the photos right next to him.
One area I couldn’t get enough of was the corner of their sitting room. The natural light made for the best photos and I was obsessed with the decor. The images here just got even better when their dog came in and sat down to join them.
While Samuel was a bit older than when I normally do newborn images, he was such a good baby and slept through most of the session.
Leslie’s dress is one of my favorites for moms from my client closet. It was the perfect shade of pink for this session in their home.
Tips for In-Home Newborn Sessions
- Don’t stress about having a perfectly clean home.
- When putting together outfits for the family, the simpler (and more comfortable), the better! Ask me about my client closet and what I have available for newborns and moms.
- Be yourselves, which I know is much easier said than done. However I am just there to capture a new addition in your home. Lounge on the couch, play with your older kids or bring in your furry friends, I promise the pictures will come together.
