Retirement Party in Mckinney Texas

I had the joy of photographing the Covell Family who gathered together for a retirement Party in McKinney Texas. My friend, Heather, who I used to work with, reached out to me for family photos. Heather’s mother-in-law was throwing a retirement party for her father-in-law. All the kids would be together to celebrate! I had a blast with this fun family. We shared many laughs throughout the session! It was a joy to hear them all laughing as they told jokes and shared family stories.

Heather’s mother-in-law put up signs in their front yard by their house for her husband’s retirement. We made sure to grab a few photos around the letters in the yard! After that we traveled to a nearby pond. We grabbed a bunch of group shots and individual family shots.

I loved the pond area! It was the perfect backdrop to our family photos with sun shimmering off the water in the background. The neighborhood was super cute and their house was gorgeous! I really enjoyed my time celebrating with this fun crowd!

While I do have the joy of photographing many wonderful families, I don’t always have the opportunity to photograph the celebration of an accomplishment and milestone like retirement! I am so thrilled that I could capture these family memories as Heather’s mother and father-in-law enter a new season of their life together! Retirement already looks good on you!

Heather, it was amazing to catch up with you and meet your wonderful family! I truly loved each minute with them! I am so happy for your father-in-law in his retirement!!
