I was so excited when the Haddad Family reached out to me to schedule their milestone portraits in Frisco, Texas.  This family is extremely sweet and we had a great time together! The birthday girls, who were turning one and five years old, were so much fun and absolutely adorable!

The Haddad Family chose light, summery clothes for their outdoor session. I loved big sister’s yellow dress and pigtails!  Her little sister looked darling in her white dress and those gorgeous blue eyes! 

Mom wanted to keep it simple with no cake smash for her new one year old. She was very serious, but I managed to get a few smirks out of her as she climbed around the wooden crate. She didn’t seem to notice her number 1 balloon, but her big sis loved her number 5 balloon! This sweet girl twirled around in the grass and had a lot of fun playing. I loved seeing this little girl’s silly side as she kept making funny faces.

First and fifth birthdays are two of the more special, monumental ones.  Your now one year old is officially out the baby stage, hopefully sleeping, and on their way to independence as they explore the world around them. Then your five year old is leaving the toddler stage behind and entering a fun, new season as a school-ager. Their personalities really start to shine, as they become naturally more independent.  There are a bunch of new “firsts” to experience: losing the first tooth, starting kindergarten, and mastering tons of new skills like riding bikes, reading, and writing. Each one is uniquely and wonderfully different and definitely should be captured and celebrated!
