Garland TX Extended Family Session

I love when families gather together and share special moments. And, I love it even more when I am able to capture those moments and memories! This wonderful extended family came together in Garland Texas to celebrate Laura for her 60th Birthday! Family members traveled from all over the great state of Texas and even Colorado for this special day! How sweet is that?! While they were celebrating, they decided to have a Garland TX extended family session to document the occasion!

The extended family gathered at a gorgeous spot near the open water that was absolutely beautiful! The weather was perfect with abundant sunshine that shimmered as it hit the water in the background. We were able to capture a few amazing photos of the whole crew in a few different areas, on and off the docks. Honestly, my favorite photo features them on the sidewalk area, all leaning in and hugging each other, with beaming smiles on their faces, and the sparkling water behind them.

The entire family was delightful! Sometimes photographing large groups of people and extended family sessions can be a challenge. There are many variables, and it’s hard to get a few people to look and pose how you want, let alone a large group. This wonderful extended family, however, made my job a breeze. I loved watching how they interact together. That’s the best part of family portraits!

Impressively, everyone in the extended family coordinated their outfits with variations of blue, white, coral. Their wardrobe fit perfectly with the nautical location! I’m still obsessed! Even the adorable, sleepy new baby matched in his outfit and little suspenders. So precious, right?!

I’m thrilled everyone could gather together, and not only see each other, but celebrate Laura’s special day! Seriously, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to capture your sweet family. I hope the images are treasured by everyone for generations to come.
